A different look at April

It seems that over the last couple of weeks the Internet has been littered with advice on exercising patience with your roster in April. Since I’ve already taken my turn beating that topic into the ground, I thought I’d find something more fun to talk about.

Keeper Search: Josh Willingham

An after-thought in most leagues heading into the season, one of the hottest players in 2012 so far is Minnesota OF Josh Willingham. One of those players who always seems to be available in the free agent pool, Willingham has posted a .389/.476/.778 line to start the season, while posting 8 R, 4 HR, 8 RBI and 1 SB – good enough to land him as the 5th best player on ESPN’s Player Rater.

Don’t let April get you off your gameplan

Zack Greinke gave up 8 earned runs in 3 ⅔ innings.

Your offense went a collective 3-for-30 with only 1 run scored.

Keeper Implications: Bailey, Aceves

Aceves to start season as Bailey’s replacement

  • Is that the case?
  • If so, what type of content do you want Derrick and I to focus on?
  • How often are you expecting new content?

I bring this up because this site is about providing news, rankings and analysis from a keeper owner’s perspective so I want to make sure that what I’m spending my time on is useful. If you have a minute, please let me know what content you like and what you want to see added to the site. Thanks.

Keeper Implications – Chisenhall, LaPorta, Thames, Snider

Indians delay the future a little bit longer

The Indians brought some clarity to roster by optioning 3B Lonnie Chisenhall and 1B/OF Matt LaPorta to Triple A. While Cleveland’s offseason moves signaled a lack of faith in LaPorta, apparently Chisenhall has some adjustments to make as well. [Read more...]
